About this data

Every entry comes from the NOAA / NCEI Storm Events Database, the federal record of severe weather in the United States. We reproduce it here filtered to Utah and made searchable β€” we do not edit, add to, or interpret the records. Where NOAA lists a wind speed in knots we show it in miles per hour; everything else is verbatim.

Locations are NOAA's own county and National Weather Service forecast-zone names, which is why you will see both Salt Lake and Wasatch Mountains South of I-80. A storm not listed here was not necessarily absent β€” it means NOAA has no recorded report for it, which is common for isolated hail.

11,426 events Β· 1996–2026 Β· last updated August 26, 2026. Free to use and cite β€” a link back is appreciated but not required.

Maintained by West Peak Roofing, a roofing company in Highland, Utah. We built this because homeowners kept asking us what date their storm hit.
