The tornado was rated an EF2 with a path of 100 yards wide and winds estimated at 122 mph, lasting approximately 12 minutes. Storm surveys indicated extensive roof damage to a home and several outbuildings were also damaged.

This flooding eroded a six food embankment along White Rim Road in Canyonlands National Park, and carried sediment all the way to the Green River. Additionally, several washes along Taylor Canyon Road ran and washed out sections of Taylor Canyon Road. No other damages, and no injuries or fatalities, were received.

NOAA record 1208153 ↗One of several thunderstorms across Southeast Utah on the afternoon of July 20th began to rotate and produced a landspout tornado near Verdure in San Juan County, UT, along US Highway 191. This landspout was reported to the Grand Junction NWS office by a trained spotter, and this report was later confirmed by images and video provided by a media partner in the Salt Lake City NWS office's area.

In addition to other severe threats, this storm produced some severe winds, including 2 recorded gusts to 69 mph at the KBDG AWOS at the Blanding Municipal Airport.
