NOAA record 5178434 ↗A 31-year-old man was killed by an avalanche while snowmobiling in the Willard Basin area near the base of Willard Peak. There were 3 other snowmobilers with him, but none of them were injured by the slide.
NOAA record 5178168 ↗A fast moving cold front produced 89 mph (77 kts) winds ahead of it on Hidden Peak near Snowbird. The front also brought 55 mph (48 kts) gusts with its passage at the Salt Lake City International Airport. Those winds managed to flip over a small plane, causing some light damage.

NOAA record 5177624 ↗Heavy rains on the north end of the Oquirrh Mountains brought a river of mud, ash, and water into some yards in Lake Point. The rains fell over an area which had lost the erosion-controlling vegetation from a fire back in July. Up to six inches of mud and ash covered the yards.
NOAA record 5177623 ↗A 26-year-old man and a 27-year-old man were struck and killed by lightning while fighting a fire on the north end of the Stansbury Mountains. The lightning strike also injured 4 other members of the Flame-N-Go's firefighting unit from the Utah State Prison's Lone Peak facility. The leader of the crew was not struck, but suffered from extreme shock.

NOAA record 5177621 ↗A 47-year-old male British tourist was struck by lightning while standing under a tree a Bryce Canyon National Park. The man suffered head injuries and superficial burns. He was flown to LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City where he was in critical condition. He later recovered from his injuries.
