NOAA record 1268382 βLANDSPOUT. Location: 41.95, -112.07. Broadcast media shared a public video of a landspout northwest of Clarkston, UT in an open field. No damage was reported with this landspout. The observer who relayed the report and video to broadcast media reported the time to be approximately 3:30 pm MST. Radar imagery around that time did show a thunderstorm in the area with weak and broad rotation along an
NOAA record 1131400 βAn area of showers with minimal discernable convective elements resulted in a period of high winds. The Logan-Cache Airport ASOS measured multiple wind gusts of 63 mph. The US-91 at MP 39 Richmond mesonet sensor also measured a wind gust of 63 mph. Other lesser wind gusts are noted throughout this time, with winds gradually diminishing through the morning hours.
NOAA record 1100343 βSeveral hours of high winds were observed throughout the Cache Valley, with the Logan-Cache Airport ASOS (KLGU) recording a peak gust of 68 mph between approximately 3:25 pm to 3:50 pm. Other mesonet sensors including US-89 at USU and US-91 at MP 20 Wellsville recorded gusts in excess of 58 mph throughout the time period.
