Clear all filtersHeavy rain caused widespread flash flooding across Washington County, including the town of Hildale. The gauge of the Virgin River at Virgin reported an increase from the normal flow of under 100 cfs to nearly 3300 cfs by late morning on September 22. The North Fork of the Virgin River, in Zion National Park, also rose from less than 50 cfs to over 2100 cfs.
