NOAA record 257604 ↗Heavy rain over the Lake Fork burn scar caused a flash flood and debris flow, with Highway 89 being covered in water, mud, and rocks near Birdseye. The flood closed the highway in both directions between mile markers 305 and 307, and some cars were stuck in the debris.
