Clear all filtersSevere thunderstorm gusts brought down power lines and snapped off large tree limbs in excess of 6 inches in diameter.
NOAA record 550821 ↗A couple from Kansas observed and recorded a funnel cloud from a strong thunderstorm with rotation. An elevated ridgeline existed between the funnel and the eyewitnesses, such that the base of the funnel cloud extended below the ridgeline which prevented any determination of how close the rotation may have gotten to the ground.
NOAA record 542316 ↗Several residences in the western portion of Maeser experienced flash flooding, and street flooding was reported in much of Maeser. A road was also washed out in Dry Fork Canyon to the north of town.
