Clear all filtersStrong southwest winds gusting to 66 mph (57 kts) near Wahweap and 60 mph (52 kts) at the St. George Airport caused some damage. The airport was closed after a wind gust caused the landing gear to collapse on a taxiing plane. There were no injuries. Other damage in the area included a blown-off roof, a blown-out window at Dixie college, and a business sign being torn off and damaging a nearby car.
