Clear all filtersA spotter reported a tornado just west of Highway 89 between Fairview and Birdseye. The tornado lasted about 10 minutes and remained over open country.
NOAA record 5275277 ↗A flash flood occurred in Lone Cedar Canyon, southwest of Gunnison. A County road was washed out in several places, and about 60 acres of hay was damaged.
NOAA record 5275518 ↗A 26-year old man was struck by lightning while golfing at a course near Fairview. A medical helicopter transported him to a hospital in Salt Lake City. The lightning bolt reportedly went in through his head and out through his hip. He was treated and later released.
