NOAA record 573995 ↗A fallen power line ignited a brush fire in the Avenues area of Salt Lake City, which quickly grew to 100 acres due to strong winds. Ten homes were evacuated near 700 North and I Street. Firefighters were able to quickly contain the blaze, keeping it from reaching any of the homes, but one home suffered heat damage in the outside patio area, and a second house suffered smoke damage.

NOAA record 573515 ↗A human-caused grass fire erupted in Murray, along the Jordan River in the Hunter Woods area. The fire threatened several homes, but firefighters were able to stop the blaze before it reached the residences. A few homes did receive smoke damage from the fire, and approximately 1,200 feet of vinyl fencing was destroyed. The fire also destroyed a walking bridge in the area.
