Clear all filtersWidespread flash flooding occurred across much of Kane County. Flooding impacted the Cottonwood Canyon Road, as well as multiple other roads throughout the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
NOAA record 133538 ↗Back country rangers reported a flash flood on a road along Last Chance Creek, which flows into Lake Powell.
NOAA record 133517 ↗Additional flooding in the lower Paria River drainage closed the Cottonwood Canyon Road.
NOAA record 133519 ↗Heavy rain caused large scale flash flooding along the Paria River drainage, including the Wawheap and Big Water areas.
NOAA record 133453 ↗Rainfall in Croton Canyon above Lake Powell produced a large flash flood that ran over a dirt road in area. Glen Canyon dispatch received reports from boaters of large amounts of debris from the drainage flowing into Lake Powell.
