Clear all filtersNumerous mesonet stations recorded at least one if not a period of downsloping postfrontal winds and gusts in excess of 58 mph, with a peak gust of 68 mph recorded at the I-80 @ mp 1 mesonet station. Other various mesonet stations that included sufficient wind gusts include INTERSTATE 80, WENDOVER PEAK, Wendover Port of Entry, I-80 @ mp 29, and SR-30 @ Curlew.
NOAA record 1339679 ↗A strong cold front traversed across northern UT in the early morning hours bringing numerous wind gusts in excess of 58mph at sites such as Hat Island, UDOT I-80, UDOT I-80 at MP 1, and I-80 at MP 40 Knolls. The highest observed wind gust within this forecast zone was measured to be 67mph at the Wendover Peak site.
