    LANDSPOUT. Location: 41.89, -112.50. Multiple photos were shared with media of a landspout tornado east of Snowville. Time and location were estimated from radar. No damage was reported.

    An area of showers with minimal discernable convective elements resulted in a period of high winds. The I-15 at MP 369 North Brigham City mesonet sensor measured multiple wind gusts in excess of 58 mph, with a peak gust of 67 mph noted at 10:00 pm MST 5/13/23. The I-15 @ Willard POE also measured a wind gust of 60 mph at 11:00 pm MST 5/13/23. Other lesser wind gusts are noted throughout this time,

    Snow Squall. Visibility dropped to a minimum of 0.27 miles with a peak wind gust of 32 mph at the I-15 at MP 369 North Brigham City mesonet site. The weather sensor also indicated heavy precipitation (snow) at the reported time.

    A combination of COOP and CoCoRaHS observer reports included snowfall amounts of 10.6 inches at Bear River City 2.3 WNW, 8.8 inches at Brigham City 0.6 W, and 7.5 inches at Cutler Dam.

    The Eastbound lanes of Interestate 84 west of Tremonton were closed due to multiple accidents and slide-offs for a portion of the event. A snowfall accumulation of 10.1 inches with 0.45 inches of snow water equivalent was recorded at Perry. Other snowfall accumulations include 8.5 inches with 0.71 inches of snow water equivalent at Brigham City and 6.0 inches with 0.60 inches of snow water equival

    Mesonet observing stations reported widespread anomalous cold, with areal median 3-hour minimum wind chill values of approximately -18F. The coldest 3-hour running average noted was -25F at the I-15 @ Plymouth mesonet site.

    A Coop observer near Garland reported 6.5 inches of snow for the event. A Combination of other Coop observers, CoCoRaHS observers, and public reorts included 0.40 to 0.65 inches of snow water equivalent, resulting in approximately 4 to 7 inches of snow.
